Over 12,000 kids and adults visited our museum last year. Steady annual growth over the last ten years means we are ready to expand to larger facilities and serve a broader age range of youths. In 2001, we set our sights on a move to the historic Durango Power House at 14th Street and Camino del Rio by the Animas River. Construction will begin this summer of 2009, and we will be moving Discovery Kids into the Powerhouse in 2010.

Diskovery Kids is now a member of the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) Travel Passport Program. Now, members of Durango Diskovery Kids get free admission to over 351 museums worldwide. Plus you will receive discounts and preferred enrollment in all of our educational programs like Sudden Science and Kids Cook with Yucky Salad, 10% off in our museum store, and e-mail updates about exciting upcoming and current events at the Diskovery Museum. Your membership will also be valid when we make our big move into the Powerhouse in 2010. Come visit and get ready for a year of Diskovery!(see Diskovery Kids)
